Email from our Foster Mom and Many Thanks!

Our Foster Mom emailed us to let us know Elvia/Auri is doing well. She can count and some of her favorite words are Mama, Papa, Marcos and Abner (Marcos and Abner are her Foster Mom's kids). How sweet! She did say she is in 24 months...I hope that is Guate sizes b/c when we were there in March her 18 month pants fell right down! And she said her shoes are too small! Okay she was wearing 3 1/2 and I took 4's but sent 5's in October...so I hope her Crocs fit her!!! Well no pics...guess you all need to hold out until July 3rd!

Also we want to THANK:

Brian Moira and Andrew Baum
Jack and Dee Baum
The Bauer Family
and of course Habe

for the generous gifts to help with our adoptions!!! It means so much to us! And there will be Thanks You's coming but I need someone's help with those and well she's in another country!

HE CRUSHED OUR DREAM...

For those of you that may just be checking out our blog for the first time...we fell victims to AIP and Orson Mozes and will never get to adopt Roma. America's Most Wanted is getting a piece together and many other victims are telling the news their stories. Please pray for NATIONAL attention so they can find Orson. We still dream about having another adopted child but unfortunately that is on hold due to financial reasons with our first failed adoption. But we will not give up hope..if you can DREAM..you can DO IT!

Getting too close....

Okay I am not ready for this. I have so much to do but just can't bring myself to do it. I admit I am freaking out! I think if I could bring Brent I would be okay but I can't. I want to be with Auri (okay notice the name transition from Elvia) so bad but the last time we were with her she screamed every time she saw me! She just wanted her Papa! I am trying to set up Skype so that Brent can see her every night but it keeps crashing my laptop! We still don't have Auri's room complete, no mattress, no car seat...house not childproofed...wow Brent you have a lot to do! Well its late I need sleep - maybe that will help!

JULY 3RD

July 3rd is the day I am flying out to Guatemala City and picking up Elvia...and can you believe she has her Family Court and DNA that same day? Well at least I get a lot of worries out in one day!

Once I get to Antigua we are going to start making the name transition to Auri Elizabeth Elvia Heinrich.....we wanted to wait until after we had DNA results but the day we have it drawn is close enough....right? It's hard because we had a name picked out but she already had a name...its who she is but her new name represents who she will be! Hard very hard! I guess if I had a little more faith in the entire process we would have just made the change from the start but we all know who changed that for us(AIP ORSON MOZES)!

Well pray some more for Eliana, Chris and Lindsey...in a few hours they will be re-united!

2 Weeks!

2 weeks from today I will be chatting away with my girlfriend Leigh Ann in Florida..then in the morning I will be off to the Airport to greet Lindsey for our flight in to Guatemala...can you believe I am actually doing this??? I CAN'T! I have to admit I sometime wish I never made this decisions, but I am sure 2 weeks and 1 day from now I will not look back!

Today our jogging stroller arrived...Peppy the cat tested it out and it is good to go! Thanks Diane C. for the Toys R US gift card that helped us to purchase this new ride! Brent loves the colors...it's NOT pink!!! I tried and tried to purchase a pink and grey or a pink and brown stroller and he was not having it!

A few answers to questions...& Happy Father's Day shout out!

As for the I-72, DNA and Family Court can move forward while we wait for the requested midwife documents. Hopefully we will get a court date soon. I keep praying DNA is done before I get there in a few weeks. I can't wait!!!

And in case any of you are local and know of anyone that needs a lawn care guy or some landscaping done for the summer please let me know! Brent just lost a very big client and well...things are going to be very very tight with me moving now. So sad I may have to start selling my Longaberger Baskets to make this all work :-(

Happy Father's Day, Papa!!!

Of course Happy Father's Day to my Dad too!!!

I-72 issued

Just when we thought we had good news...we get issued an I-72 for more midwife documents. No idea if they will get moving with the DNA and FC interview or not. I post when I know more!

DNA AUTH!!!

Can you believe it??? This is FIRST DNA not second!!! (for those of you in process!)

BOOKED!

I booked my flight! I am so proud of myself! I never do anything on my own. I am heading to Florida on July 2nd...stopping in and staying with my high school BFF Leigh Ann and then she is taking me to the airport the next day to meet my sweet roomie Lindsey Wheeler...and off we will go to get our girls!!!

(Well it has been a very busy few days...lets just say teachers love to live it up once school is out and well I have not gotten much sleep...they have no pity for me and my year long job! So I will try and update the blog later this week!)

Eeeek...one suitcase already filled!!!

Not sure how I am going to fit everything. I know I can buy stuff there but not sure how I am going to fit more than 2 outfits for me in the next suitcase! For those of you who fostered or are still what do we absolutely need to bring from home?

Birthday Shopping!

Wow, when Brent and I went to Guatemala for 4-6 days...we took 5-6 suitcases, carry-ons, laptop...you get the picture. Well for this trip I can only take 2 suitcases for endless months!!! Plus a stroller and the most important thing....PARTY supplies! We will be celebrating a 2nd birthday!!! It was very hard to figure out what to buy ---she needs to love it ---and it needs to take up a small amount of room! I really want to give her one of those ride ons that have the handle that you can push it too...okay that is not happening...too BIG! So we got a baby doll bath tub, baby doll high chair and new outfit and diaper for her BeBe!!! She is going to love it! She is such a good little mommy!!! Hopefully she won't try and put the other babies we are rooming with in the tub and high chair!!!

I want to send a very quick THANK YOU to all of Brent's co-workers for the generous donation! It will help us in so many ways and we are very very thankful to have such great friends!!! It means so much to us to have you all share in this amazing adoption journey! Now pray real hard this summer that she can come home!!!!

Please watch the blog daily this summer for updates as I begin my journey into "mommyhood" and please be sure to take care of my husband here!!!

No re-submit yet

Our paper work needs to be re-translated with the correction...and the Embassy does not issue these on Friday so here's waiting till Monday! After 7 grueling months my agency is framing this authorization for their desk!!! All I can say is God's in control!

It's a GO!!!

A sneak peak of the place I will call home July 1!!!!

UNBELIEVABLE

Almost never want to wear the RED WHITE AND BLUE again!

Here is the latest:

The Embassy issued him a previo saying there is an extra space on an email address. He said he will fax to us their comment on the paper as evidence. Unbelievable. They did not allow him to fix it on the spot, and was told to come back tomorrow. So for the third day in a row this week he will go to the Embassy again with the file.

Thanks Uncle Adam!

Elvia just got an awesome pair of Alice Kids Crocs in Ruby Red from Uncle Adam!!! (Mama found them for 12.95!!!)

Almost!

Well I got an email our attorney took our case to the Embassy this afternoon but they are no longer issuing authorization at that time of day. So he is taking it first thing in the morning!

Believe it or not STILL NO MOVEMENT!

Wow...this all feels like such a bad dream. Still no movement and we got an usual request which I did not want to make public at this time but it scares me! Please pray I wake up to an email of good news...as for now PENS lets win this game!!! Brent and I need sleep!!!
